Privacy Policy

Version of 13 September 2026 · In case of discrepancies between translations, the Armenian version prevails.

1. Who Processes the Data

The personal data of users of the tuk-tuk.am website is processed by [company name — to be specified after registration], address: [address] (the “Operator”). Data requests are accepted at [e-mail for data requests].

This Policy has been prepared in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Personal Data Protection and describes what data we collect, why, to whom we transfer it, how long we keep it and how you can manage it.

2. What Data We Process

Phone number — for signing in and for communication about listings.
Profile data, at your discretion: name, agency or company name, “about me” text, profile photo.
Listings: the property address and description, photos, price, and the contact name and phone number you have provided.
Cadastre extract, if you have attached one: it shows the owner and information about the property.
Agent documents (certificate, licence, agreement with an agency), if you have applied for verified agent status.
Messages in correspondence on the Website, complaints and enquiries.
Activity on the Website: favourites, saved searches, comparisons, transaction history and wallet balance.
E-mail address, if you have subscribed to the “My Home” magazine.
Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, request times (server logs), cookies — see Section 11.

We do not request passports, social card numbers, biometric data or special categories of personal data (health, religion, political views, etc.). Please do not upload such documents; if they reach us by mistake, we will delete them.

3. Purposes and Legal Grounds

Performance of the User Agreement: sign-in, account, publication of listings, messaging, moderation, protection against fraud and bots, provision of paid services.
Your consent: the “My Home” magazine newsletter and other e-mails that are not required for the operation of your account.
Legal requirements: accounting for payments and responding to lawful requests from state authorities.

The following actions are performed with the data: collection, recording, storage, alteration, use, transfer to the recipients listed in Section 5, blocking and destruction.

4. What Others Can See

A listing displays the photos, description, property address and price, as well as the contact name and phone number you have provided. The Cadastre extract and agent documents are not published — only the moderator can see them; the Website displays only the verification badge.

5. To Whom We Transfer Data

DigitalOcean, the hosting provider — the Website’s server is located in Frankfurt (Germany). Germany is included in the list of states ensuring an adequate level of personal data protection approved by the Personal Data Protection Agency of the Republic of Armenia.
OpenFreeMap — a map service: when a map is displayed, your browser requests map images from it and transmits your IP address to it.
SMS, e-mail and payment services — will be listed here once connected.
State authorities — only in cases expressly provided for by law.

We do not sell personal data or transfer it to third parties for advertising purposes.

6. How Long We Keep Data

Account, profile, listings, favourites — until you delete your account.
Cadastre extracts and agent documents — until reviewed by a moderator and for no longer than 30 days; after the review, the file is deleted and only the verification mark remains.
Messages — for as long as the account of at least one participant in the conversation exists.
Subscriber’s e-mail address — until you unsubscribe.
Server logs — 14 days.
Backup copies (encrypted) — 14 days, after which they are deleted automatically.
Payment data — for the period established by tax legislation.

7. How We Protect Data

Connections to the Website are encrypted (HTTPS), backup copies are stored in encrypted form, only moderators have access to documents, and employees are obliged to keep personal data confidential.

In the event of a data leak from our systems, we immediately publish a notice on the Website and at the same time notify the Police of the Republic of Armenia and the Personal Data Protection Agency.

8. Your Rights

to find out what data about you we process and to obtain a copy of it;
to correct inaccurate data;
to demand that data be blocked or deleted;
to withdraw consent to the newsletter;
to delete your account yourself — in your personal dashboard, under “Delete account”.

Please send your request to [e-mail for data requests]. We provide information within 5 days and correct, block or delete data within 3 working days. We give written reasons for any refusal. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency of the Republic of Armenia or to apply to a court.

9. If You Do Not Provide Data

Without a phone number, you cannot sign in or post listings. Without a Cadastre extract, a listing is published without the verification badge. Without agent documents, verified agent status is not granted. Without an e-mail address, you will not receive the newsletter. Listings and articles can be viewed without providing any data.

10. Consent to the Newsletter and Its Withdrawal

Consent to the newsletter remains valid until withdrawn. You can withdraw it via the “Unsubscribe” link in any e-mail or by writing to us. After withdrawal, we stop sending the newsletter and delete your address within 10 working days.

11. Cookies and Browser Data

The Website uses only technical cookies, without which it cannot function:

sessionid — signing in to your account and the selected region;
csrftoken — protection of forms against request forgery;
django_language — the selected language.

Browser storage (localStorage) holds your recent searches and a note of the selected region; this data stays on your device. There are no analytics or advertising cookies. If any are introduced, we will ask for your consent first.

12. Children

The Website is not intended for persons under 18 years of age.

13. Changes

A new version of the Policy is published on this page together with its date. We announce material changes on the Website in advance. The Policy is published in Armenian, Russian and English; in the event of any discrepancy between the texts, the Armenian version shall prevail.
